Keith has an H. Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay Ontario, as well as numerous business schools: Negotiation – Harvard, Finance for the non financial – Queens, and Leadership – Queens.
He started his career with Domtar Forest Products in northern Ontario holding several supervisory positions in forest operations. After 10 years moved to Athabasca Alberta in 1992 to work for Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. (Al-PAC) as capital roads coordinator responsible for all aspects of developing the main road infrastructure for the Forest Management Area (FMA). From that position he moved to the position of Business Unit Leader responsible for all Forest operations on 1/3 of the FMA. From that position he moved to special projects manager. After three years he took over a business unit that was called Integrated Land Services that worked with integrating our operations with the energy industry.
After three years acting as the Assistant Woodlands Manager, he took over the position of Woodlands Manager. He is responsible for the management and delivery of 3 million cubic meters of fibre deliveries to the pulp mill. This includes budgeting, planning, harvest, haul reclamation, government relations and Indigenous Relations.
He has served on several boards as a director. This includes Road to Hope, Bigstone Forestry, Janvier Heart Lake Forestry.
