EDMONTON, AB, June 17, 2020 – Tomorrow, Fairness Alberta Executive Director Dr. Bill Bewick will make a presentation on behalf of Fairness Alberta to the Federal House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance.
This key House of Commons Committee extended an invitation to Fairness Alberta to speak to the committee earlier this week. Dr. Bewick will highlight the role Albertans have played in generating Canada’s fiscal strength in recent decades, and emphasize some of the federal barriers preventing Alberta from continuing to be Canada’s economic engine.
Media are invited to speak to Dr. Bewick in advance of his presentation to the Standing Committee on Finance, or to ask him about the reports Fairness Alberta put out on Equalization yesterday and the Fiscal Stabilization Program last week.
